Blood-N-Fire - Mr. Intercession (Kingdom) 1997
1. "Mr. Intercession"
Had the extreme pleasure of sharing the stage with these guys live in Texas in 1997. They put on a spectacular show complete with a very bizarre drum solo by Kevin Reynolds. Apparently someone had stolen his double bass pedal during their tour, so he improvised pulling off some incredible double bass stuff using two feet on one pedal. Anyhow, they impressed me enough that I purchased their cd. The disc is as good as their live show. Tight musicianship, excellent songwriting, and killer vocals. I really thought that these guys could make a dent in the Christian market. Their sound was unique, yet recalls the great bands of the past like Bride (Snakes-era) and Guardian (Fire & Love-era) and even a bit of the groove of Disciple and King's X.
