Chris Squire's Fish out of Water is an album that doesn't steer far from the progressive formula that Yes was known for. Helped out by drummer Bill Bruford and keyboardist Patrick Moraz, "Fish Out of Water" is a very Yes-like solo album . Squire plays guitar, bass and performs all the vocals on this disc, and at times sounds very much like Jon Anderson, especially on "Hold Out Your Hand." So, with that being said, I am not sure why some of this material wasn't just used for Yes. As with several other Yes member solo albums, the only thing that holds it back is the fact that the other Yes guys aren't there to add in their unique styles that helped to create Yes. Otherwise, 'Fish Out of Water' is probably one of my favorite solo disc from the Yes clan.
