While Rush was on hiatus due to Neil Pert's personal matters, Geddy decided to feed the starving Rush fans by cranking out his first ever solo disc titled "My Favorite Headache". Lee is joined by ex-Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron and guitarist/violinist Ben Mink. Together these guys create something that isn't that far removed from Rush, although a bit more modern sounding than I would expect from Rush. "The Present Tense" probably would have been a huge hit for Rush. "Working at Perfekt," "Home of the Strange," and the ballad "Slipping" also could've easily have fit on any '90s Rush album. So, while this is a Geddy Lee solo disc, this CD should be essential for any Rush fan. It will fit in nicely with "Counterparts" and "Test for Echo".
