Killer melodic, pop metal band from Philadelphia, PA. Heaven's Edge sound to me like an equal mix of Dokken and House of Lords.(I have been told they sound a lot like Harem Scarem as well.) Like Dokken, these guys know how to write an hook that will have you singing along after only one listen. Tracks like "Skin to Skin", "Hold On Tonight", "Bad Reputation" or the speedy "Can't Catch Me" are on par with the best of the melodic metal bands from the early 90's. Their guitarist is a hellacious as well. Some of his solos are spine-tingling. Check out the solos in "Skin to Skin" or "Up Against the Wall" and see if it doesn't stand up to the like of George Lynch (Dokken) and Lanny Cordola (House of Lords/Guiffria/Magdallen). Unfortunately, despite being on a major label, this album didn't see the success of some of similar bands, so this album has become a highly sought after collector's disc, selling for far more money than any CD is worth of eBay. Fortunately I was able to score a copy through a friend who found this CD cheap in a used store in Chicago. (Thanks again James.)
