At one time Roadrunner Records was the label for death metal and thrash. Pestilence is similar in style to bands like Death, Believer, Cynic and even a touch of Sepultura. Each song on this CD is connected by a short instrumental bit which makes for an interesting listen. Despite being death/thrash, the band has added keyboards effectively as well. The vocals are heavy and aggressive, reminding me of Chuck Schuldiner. Heavy, technical, progressive death/thrash! This CD is simply awesome!
