Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs (Chrysalis) 1974 1. "Day
of the Eagle" (5:03) Often compared to Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower was one of the most underrated guitarists of the 70's. "Bridge of Sighs" was his biggest selling album, and for good reason, it rocks hard! Heavy blues with tons of smoking guitar solos and jams. This is just a great disc. "Day of the Eagle" has been covered by Armored Saint and Tesla. Robin Trower - Essential Robin Trower (Chrysalis) 1. "Too
Rolling Stoned" (7:29) A KILLER collection of some of Trower's greatests moments, this 16 song collection has seen a lot of play on my stereo. What I liked about Robin Trower was his cool guitar tone and the fact that he jammed. The extended solos just make the disc for me. Since I obviously have large gaps in my Robin Trower collection, this disc fills the void temporarilty. Robin Trower-This Was Now '74 - '98 (Secret Door)
This was a cool find. I found this double live disc for $5.99. The thing I have always liked about Robin Trower is that he just kicks back and jams, and that's exactly what he does on these two discs. The first disc is a concert from 1974, the second disc is from 1998, but besides the noticable difference in production, the music hasn't changed. Robin Trower is still kicking out the blues jams. Robin Trower - BBC Radio One Live in Concert (Winsong) 1995 1. "Day of the Eagle"
(4:04) Yet another excellent live disc featuring Robin Trower's extraordinary bluesy guitar jams. Personally I can't get enough of Trower live as he just struts his stuff. "Bridge of Sighs", "Gone Be More Suspicious", "Daydream" and "Rock Me Baby" all featuring extended guitar jams. This particular disc is a European import and is pressed on a gold disc.
